arduino to teach stem concepts

I've been telling myself for some time to get more familiar with the Arduino, so as to be better equipped to work with students in the makerspace. Working with the Arduino (or Raspberry Pi) is a great way to get students to a higher level of problem-solving  and critical thinking in an engaging and fun way. Like I said, I need to learn more about it.

the maker mindset

Getting the thinking across to teachers as to what the Maker Movement is all about is a challenge.  Taking time to understand the underlying thinking goes a long way towards not seeing it as 'playing'. It's important to help students see themselves as 'creators'.
